About the author
Ida Mae Kempel was born and raised in North Dakota. She began writing at the age of 7. After raising nine children, she returned to the writing field. Her short stories and articles have been widely published in national magazines, including Focus on the Family, Sunday Digest, War Cry, Oblates, and Catholic Digest. One short story, What Was In Jeremy's Egg?, has been published numerous times both here in the U.S. and abroad. She began writing books in 1990. Her first book, The Wings of Dawn, was about the murder of her daughter, Mary Jo. Where Bluebirds Sing was a sequel to that book. Her latest book, Along the Way, is autobiographical. She now spends her days with grandchildren, friends and social activities, in addition to writing.
