Description

"My Love Affair with Numbers" invites readers to join accounting wizard Sherry Gabriele as she recounts her lifelong fascination with numbers—how to befriend them, how to understand them, and how to make money with them. Part memoir, part How-To, this book succinctly lays out the various paths available to investors, while also describing the fascinating life of a female financial savant as she carved her own path through a male-dominated profession. She suggests what to study in college, how her years both working for large companies and working for herself have informed her thoughts on being a CPA—even the benefits of snorkeling and martial arts. About The Author

Sherry Gabriele was a resident of California where she got her Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles ("UCLA") and later her Master of Taxation from the University of Southern California ("USC"). She worked throughout her high School and college years – mostly as a bookkeeper. Sherry was a partner and head of the Los Angeles tax department for an international accounting firm before she left and started her own practice. She continued to specialize in tax during her years in Los Angeles; but also acted as the managing partner for partnerships which invested in motels, property rentals, agriculture, and large blocks of acreage which were either resold or subdivided. She then moved to Hawaii where she continued to do tax work and then started a firm wherein she specialized in Estates and Trusts. Her clients have ranged from Hollywood actors and screenwriters to lawyers and entrepreneurs. She now lives in Nevada, where she continues her practice.
