About the author
I was born and raised in a small suburban town. I lived a life full of guidance and support from my family. i played many sports during my childhood and into early adulthood. I was recognized as an All-American student athlete. I was a member of the Dean's List in college. I established a foundation for a hopeful and successful life. That was until i met alcohol. Alcohol robbed me of my ambitions. The disease of alcoholism needs continuous care. I learned that lesson due to trial and error. I have never considered alcoholism or addiction as a weakness and that idea was reinforced by many of my life's experiences. I learned that there are underlying issues to addiction, alcoholism, and self-destructive behavior. My anxiety, fear and depression have been my underlying issues. I battled with my mental health since childhood. Thanks in large part to alcohol, I lost time. I missed out on years of potential opportunity such as having a family and longlasting employment. After many years of living a life of a raging alcoholic i decided that i would wholeheartedly try. I would try to achieve and maintain sobriety. I made that decision ten years ago. I have remained alcohol free for the last ten years. I have dedicated my professional career to help others that suffer from the disease of alcoholism or addiction.
