Overview
The author was born in a small town in the Ozarks during World War II and his life was shaped by the times in which he lived. During WW II food and manufactured goods were rationed and his father was away in military service. Description
This book tells the story of the author's work as a Loft Lines engineer, systems programmer, and project manager, as well as his family life. After college the author was hired by a major aircraft manufacturer and helped design jet aircraft. After six years he transferred to the company's computer division where he worked on early computer time sharing and data storage systems. He also led projects for two Fortune 500 companies. When he started in aircraft engineering, some computers were people, and ducks and splines were sometimes used instead of computers. The work was often stressful and is told with occasional humor. While working for a large computer company he worked on due diligence teams and had an international assignment in Russia. While much of his life has been dull and uninteresting - doing the same obscure things day after day, year after year - he has also had amazing experiences. God has blessed him in many ways and his faith has guided his life and has given it meaning. He has led an amazing life.
