Musings

Sociopolitical and Spiritual Thoughts of a Targeted Individual

By Fredricka Gaines

Overview

This is a victim's account of the soul of a nation and a fall from grace. A harrowing and telling look at the decline of Christian values in America. It is told from the perspective of one that could be appropriately labeled a harbinger. This story introduces one to the powerful reality or possibility of the demise of freedom and democracy in America. A familiar and historical phrase so aptly and simply states that every great empire falls. Rome fell, Greece fell, the British Empire fell. Similarly, antecedent to the crumbling of a democratic society is the transitioning of the collective power of the people in the hands of a very small minority. I think the phrase here is "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". It is a common truth that the leading cause for the decline of a government by the people is systemic corruption, greed, injustice, division and finally derision. Herein is a frightening and sobering depiction of a trending and transitioning of a society towards its demise.

Description

The revised and updated edition of my original work, "Musings: Sociopolitical and Spiritual Thoughts of a Targeted Individual" and the newly penned follow-up title, "Musing Nuggets", have been written for a broad readership. I write out of a sense of duty. I confess that I have mixed emotions and I grappled with the idea of what the overall theme should be – Christian character and values or political injustice. Though my life (and others) is being impacted and nearly destroyed by very powerful forces and complex issues that are affecting the entire nationit remains clear that there is a God. Still, I am compelled to share this frightening experience with a broad and diverse readership. Whether it should be an autobiography, memoir, an exposé is insignificant when considering the gravity of the matter. The most pressing concern is simply being able to offer this work as a call for many to return to God. It is my hope that this book will speak to the hearts of the young and old; people of all faiths; and all races and nationalities. This may seem like a huge undertaking but, I believe it is inspired by God. Nothing is too hard for God! Prayerfully, I hope this book will awaken the hearts and minds of many readers to what God intended for mankind. For a world that is in turmoil today let it be known that it is God's intention that we love one another –seek peace and worship in spirit and truth. Depending on what the reader is seeking at the point that he or she opens this book – whatever the need – it is hoped that they will be touched in some way that will have a positive, and hopefully, lasting impact.
