Description
This collection comprises pieces from the author’s early work and takes the reader through a semi-chronological journey of loss, defeat, death, love and rebirth of the human spirit. This work is not only for readers’ enjoyment but also to inspire those who seek to regain hope, to ponder the heavens, or to simply have a moment of creative insight and stillness in our feeling world. "Helen writes words that form from her heart and from her soul and spirit. Thoughts such as mists at night reflecting the moon's light into various shapes and images become her art, her writings, her musings. One knows right away that her words are not mere abstract doodlings but are in fact a real part of someone worth meeting and coming to know. After reading Helen's writings, even the moon will shine a little fuller . . . a little brighter . . . as it reflects more than the sun, but a writer's heart." Michael G. Batcho Contributing Writer Chatterbrew Magazine
About the author
Helen P. Souranoff’s artistic career began early, with her first paying gig at age 5, singing Happy Birthday to the milkman when delivery came that day. She began expressing herself through writing only after she came out at the time her first partner left the relationship. It was heartbreaking, being out, alone and unsure, so she picked up a pen and paper and began to write. Only after a string of life threatening ordeals which resulted in a diagnosis of PTSD, did a light shine through the clouds (an Old Soul entered her life) and the discovery of a creative blog site which fostered creative blogging and encouraged her to continue writing, did Helen find the Full Moon Muse, or should it be said, the Muse found Helen. Those creativeblog entries were three years ago; she's been writing regularly ever since. Add these other talents of creative expression that began in childhood but have come to fruition over time: vocalist, painter, mime artist, musician, actor, technical director, choreographer, teacher, screenwriter, producer and filmmaker. Yes the plate is full, but it's all Heart-work, so she does not tire of the load. With one credit of online publishing to her name (works featured on Chatterbrew Magazine), her audience is varied. For those that have read some of her work, the reactions have been a strong connection, being relative and positive.
