Description
In fin-de-siecle, 1890's London, Patience Floyd; a young Anglo-Irish beauty of good background and comfortable means; has escaped an unhappy past by marrying the flamboyant, Irish playwright and celebrated wit, Sebastian Mulholland. Adored in artistic circles and feted by high society Sebastian's rise to lasting fame and fortune seems inevitable and he appears to be in danger of becoming a man of great literary importance. With the passing of the years Patience Mulholland blooms in the Chelsea sanctuary Sebastian has created for her to become the perfect artist's wife, a silent, dutiful, cryptic muse dedicated to the nurturing of their beloved sons, Cecil and Dylan. All is well in the Mulholland's enchanted world until the day when a deeply troubled and troubling young poet, the strikingly handsome Lord Albert 'Bertie' Dougray enters their lives seeking Sebastian's guidance on matters poetic, polemic and other more earthly things...
About the author
Sancia Scott Moncrieff; was born in Holland Park and now lives in Chelsea, London, England. The British Author is of Scots and Franco-Irish parentage. Flitting between Paris, Roma and London; while persuing the literary dream; the author remained solvent by writing travelogues, as well as ghost-writing screenplays and fiction. Always a Poet (utilising the author name of S. Urquhart-Scott) the Author keenly explores the British experience intuitively. Mrs Mulholland is the Author's first published novel, although not the first novel that the Author has ever written. It is the first part of the trilogy, Mrs. Mulholland, with Part's Two and Part's Three to be published early in 2013. For the benefit of the planet, the tree-nation and for maximum portability, this fictional memoir and all future titles by S. Scott Moncrieff are currently presented exclusively on eReader.
