She had no intention of doing anything but putting on paper what her heart was saying, emailing it out, and then deleting it. What started out as a God directed act of love, quickly turned into a well organized, relevant, daily message that blossomed as quickly as its distribution list. About The Author

Barbara Lassman was born in Beckley, West Virginia. She attended Kindergarten through 2nd grade in Chicago, Illinois. Then her family moved to St. Joseph, Missouri and finally settled in Kansas City, Missouri where she graduated from high school. She attended Kansas State University majoring in Physical Education. Much later she added 30 graduate hours in English as a Second Language. She has taught school for many years, first as a P.E. teacher and later as an E.S.L teacher in Pittsburg, Kansas and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Presently she is teaching reading at Valor Academy in Pagosa. She was on the Southeast Kansas Women's Aglow Board; President of the Women's Aglow in Pittsburg, Kansas; Worship leader for Women's Aglow and has spoken to Women's Aglow groups throughout the State of Kansas. For 10 years she was the Children's Church Director at Victory Life Center in Pittsburg. She has directed Bible Schools and taught Women's Bible Studies for years. She and her husband are currently leading a Life Team at Grace in Pagosa. When Covid first sent people into confinement she began writing a daily message of encouragement to family and friends. These thoughts have now become, "Morning's with Mom". Barbara (Bobbie) and her husband, Garry lived 40 years in Pittsburg, Kansas where Garry was an attorney and she taught school. For the past 16 years they have lived in the beautiful mountains surrounding Pagosa Spring, Colorado. They have four children and eight grandchildren.
