In ancient times, cats were bestowed with special powers to balance and preserve order for all life on Earth. Kept secret from humans, these powers were forgotten as time went on and cats became more spoiled and pampered; until one day an evil witch plots to steal these forgotten secrets in a wicked plan to overtake Mother Nature. Only a few select breeds can reclaim and harness their powers to unite and defeat the witch – and the key to their success is the most powerful of their lineage, a Moonstone named Scarlet.

Imprisoned along with the other sought after breeds, Scarlet helplessly watches as the witch steals each cat’s power, one by one. Scarlet and the others must find a way to communicate and help her mate, Bijou, rescue them and unlock their powers from the witch’s evil spell. Finding assistance from a few animals he meets along the way, Bijou embarks on an epic journey to reunite himself with Scarlet and join forces with the others to thwart the witch’s evil plan and save the world.

Chris Salamone grew up in Dayton, Ohio, the youngest of two boys to Paula and Richard, and brother to numerous cats, many of whom Chris was certain possessed special powers. After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Drama from Ithaca University in New York, Chris moved to Los Angeles, California and began working in film and television. Upon moving back to Ohio, he combined his love to create stories with his love for animals, and began writing the first book of his Moonstone series. Chris resides in Ohio with his wife, Jenni and their beloved Moonstone, Scarlet Gray.
