Overview

Things in the town of Belmore have taken a turn for the worse. A woman's body was found in the town square. Awakening alone in the days that follow, a man who remembers nothing is spurred by instinct and circumstance to investigate. In the center of so many questions, the man is forced to try and solve the murder, if only to prove to himself that he wasn't responsible. The questions seem bound to the man and his missing memories. Who is he hunting, some creature? A psychopath? Himself?

Description

here has been a murder in the sleepy town of Belmore. A mangled body hangs from the once inspiring statue in the town center. Others have gone missing in surrounding towns, but it has never come so close to what was meant to be a safe hamlet, far away from the troubles of larger cities. Alasdair only just arrived, and he doesn't know how he got there. The timing couldn't be worse. Even Alasdair, spurred by instinct to try and prove his own innocence, is uncertain about his involvement. Slowly, he unravels the mystery and realizes that even if he's not responsible, he's involved. There's been more than just one murder, and whoever has done it appears to be trying to accomplish something on a larger scale. Through his investigations, Alasdair comes to befriend some of the locals. Spread between them, bits and pieces of vital information are gained. He meets a woman in prison who, like him, awoke without her memories. He finds the accounts of the victim who seemed to set everything in motion, but he still needs answers. How do all the tragedies lead back to him and his strange gifts? Is he even human?

About the author
Zachary Lohouse is an author suffering from several chronic illnesses, including Chronic Hereditary Pancreatitis. He was born in Rochester, New York, and loves his life as a husband and stay-at-home dad. Sprawling worlds and epic fantasy stories are born from his love of creation, though other genres move in and out of sight when he has time to give them a try. He also likes to draw maps and concept art of his characters, using them to scratch the creative itch that never leaves him.
