The children's picture book, Monster Removal Guide, written by Garett Gruber and illustrated by Patrick Carlson offers a clever and witty approach to the genre of monster themed books. This book, Gold Medal Winner, 2011 Children's Literary Classics, complete with comical and lively illustrations, will amuse children while fueling the imagination, as readers learn the most effective methods of monster removal. Garett Gruber lives in Orange, CA and is the father to Griffin, an amazing twelve year old boy. He developed the idea for his first foray into writing children's books, with the help of his son, during an atypical windy and stormy night. Doors creaked and window banged, and the task to secure and de-monsterize the house began. The hunt was on. And as the storm raged with it's thunder and lightening, he watched as the his son transformed from scared to emboldened with each ridiculous monster-removing technique.
