About the author
Ms. Louie is an oil and gas professional with over thirty-five years of experience in negotiations, government relations, business development, strategy development, mediation and coaching. She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Bachelor of Science, all from the University of Calgary. She has been a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL) since 1980; she was granted the Professional Landman designation in 1990, and she served three terms on the board of the CAPL. A graduate of the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Ms. Louie was granted the ICD.D designation in 2011. She currently serves as a board member of Alberta Theatre Projects and the Calgary Convention Centre Authority.
