About The Author


Pamela Miles is a Canadian-born, Pacific Northwest-raised hiker and artist. She is a mother of three adult children and recently married her partner in 2020 in a small ceremony on the trail of their first hike. Miles spends most of her time advocating for the care and safety of children and healthy relationships. She is the first in her family to receive a bachelor's degree, and in 2018, she graduated with her Master of Divinity and is now an ordained ELCA Lutheran pastor. In 2020, she suffered a brain bleed and spent the last year recovering from an intensive brain surgery and finishing this memoir.
