Meg was born in Mexico and grew up north of Tucson, AZ. She spends her days making art, dancing, traveling and spending time in nature.

Frank 		MICA AND STARLIGHT MICA AND STARLIGHT, written and beautifully illustrated by Meg Newberg, is a lovely reminder of what it was like to grow up in the Arizona desert as a child of the 70's and 80's. Riding your bike to the store to buy a little treat was a big adventure for the gang - Meg's poem, Milky Way Merchants, takes me back to such a simpler time. Only in Arizona would you be excited to rush to a once dry river bed during a rain to watch the river finally "flowing and churning" and Meg captures the moments in such a charming way in The Wash. No cell phones, no internet, no distractions...just connecting with nature and each other as you venture out across the fields and the desert, gathering rocks and seed pods or maybe even a giant toad. Life was simple and fun. MICA AND STARLIGHT stirs up a lot of quaint memories and Meg's artwork perfectly accentuates her words and memories. Read more
