Overview

Sci Fi Thriller - The world’s oldest myth - a miraculous birth under threat on all sides. A dejected man is transformed by suffering when the woman he loves implicates him in her attempt to hijack human consciousness.

Metanoia delivers complex characters in a jigsaw of science, the intangible, and unwanted consequences.

Description

Joe, is a failed Rhodes Scholar, haunted by the death of his parents, and unable to cope with his unexplained rejection by his ambitious neuroscientist wife.

Belatedly seeking reconciliation, she reappears in his life at the center of a spectacular demonstration by an ex-terrorist of his apparently miraculous powers. It's a demonstration that backfires, leaving Joe implicated, on the run, and his life in danger.

Joe’s struggle to unravel the mysteries surrounding his wife's new life ensnares him in an unfamiliar world of suffering and violence. Mentally unready and spiritually unsuited for what lies in wait for him, Joe becomes the unwitting ally of his wife's persecutors.

Joe's mind slowly unglues as his dream of winning his wife back disintegrates before his eyes, painfully demolished by the existence of an unborn baby whose life his wife and her consort value above his, a baby whose fate and mysterious significance hang in the balance.

About the author

The author's surreal sci-fi is underpinned by solid layers of realism, gained living and working in Holland, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Australia, France, Spain, India, Oman, Nigeria, England, Indonesia, and, naturally, the US of A. We all seek the unknowable that shapes the known, the truths hidden in myth, and that search is precisely what drives the author's writing.
