Overview
"Metamorphosis is all about positive transformations, willingly transforming, molting a better version of oneself. As the seasons change, we are constantly shedding layers that no longer serve us, as we endure and mature through the constant forces of nature applied upon us. We suffer most in the dark. For it is in our darkness' we discover our true light."
Description
Metamorphosis: The Awakening is an illustration poetry book that is all about positive changes, willingly changing and molting into a better version of oneself. We shed layers that no longer serve us as the seasons change, we mature and we persevere and mature as a result of the unceasing forces of nature acting on us. We suffer the most in the dark and find it difficult to see the positive aspects of life. It is in our darkness that we find our genuine light. It is also an interactive book where you may talk about or explain your recent changes. You will be taken on a journey via each page, with an artistic science, symbolism, dualism, and numerous life analogies. Where the reader may connect not only via words, but also through Krystal's artwork and feel pieces of themselves evolve as you go through your Metamorphosis.
About the author
Krystal Frenchwood is a poet, artist and author of the new poetry book Metamorphosis. Born in Galveston, Texas, raised in Hitchcock, TX. Krystal struggled for quite some time with expressing herself and too focused on the judgments and opinions of others was crippling her growth. Krystal was following the footsteps of others, despite walking her own path. She knew she had to do something about it and acted upon the thoughts of combining her artwork and poetry through her writing. Krystal became frustrated enough from living an unfulfilled life and had finally developed the courage to act upon it. She knew she had a voice and visions to add value, colorful colors, to the gloomy black and white world of today. It was through her actions she was able to express passion for wanting to make an impact, changing the perspective of social norms. Krystal noticed an interesting correlation between her art and literature. She was able to dive deeper into self-exploration by discovering the depth of her literature and drawings. Finally, Krystal was able to blend her literature and merge visual concepts into illustrations. Illustrations that will enable her to help readers visualize her aesthetics and shed enlightenment through her work to you for your interpretation.
