About the author


Pastor Keith Tower has been serving as the Senior Pastor of HighPoint Church in Orlando, Florida since 2005. Keith is a PhD candidate in Organizational Leadership and holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University. He has been providing mental health services in private practice since 2001. Keith serves as a Professor of Leadership at Every Nation Seminary. He is a national board member of Blue Line Support, which provides crisis services to law enforcement personnel, and serves multiple law enforcement agencies as a member of his county's Critical Incident Stress Management team. Keith leads mental health seminars and team building seminars around the world. He and his wife, Jennifer, lead marriage and parenting workshops globally as well. Prior to his ministry and counseling careers, Keith played in the NBA for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks.


Dr. Marcy Verduin is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, where she has served as the Associate Dean for Students since 2010. She received her MD degree from the University of Florida and completed her residency training in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Addictions at the Medical University of South Carolina. 

Dr. Verduin has held several national leadership positions within psychiatric and medical organizations in the US, and she is co-editor of a major psychiatric textbook series which has been translated into multiple languages. Dr. Verduin has a heart for people who are suffering, and she is passionate about helping them better understand mental health concepts and regain freedom, hope, and joy in their lives. She is a long-time member and leader at HighPoint Church in Orlando, Florida, and ministers to pastors and leaders globally on mental health and well-being.
