Male by Birth Man by Choice You may have been born a male but to become a man is a choice – your choice. This Young Man’s Guide to Exercise, Nutrition, Money, Drugs and Alcohol, Sex, Pornography and Masturbation will equip you to make right decisions and powerfully aid your transition from boy to man. While some make informed decisions regarding some of these areas, other topics remain undiscussed. Often they are only joked about among young men. But poor decisions can bring the life of any young man unstuck. It can take years to recover ground and leave you burdened with lifelong consequences. Men of Honour, encourages and inspires young men to take up the challenge to be honourable. Whether at school, in sport, at work or in relationships, we must develop our character to achieve success and experience the thrills life has on offer. Glen Gerreyn’s unique and widely respected Men of Honour program, captured for posterity in this entertaining and hard-hitting book, fearlessly tackles the often difficult issues that boys face in growing up. Written by one of the most inspiring and influential young men of his generation, Men of Honour is a must-read for boys and their fathers, bringing both immediate and potentially far-reaching benefits as males of all ages make honourable choices in how they live their lives. Professor David Bennett AO, Head, NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health and co-author of I just want you to be happy: Preventing and tackling teenage depression. At last … a man who brings wisdom with balance and guidelines without condemnation. Glen’s ability to keep 1,000 Year 10 boys glued to their seats for over four hours is testament to the fact that he is answering the real questions that all young men have. Your teaching on these subjects should be compulsory for young men Australia-wide, Glen … I’ve never heard better. Jamie Malcolm, TV Host ‘The Kerri-Anne Show’ Channel Nine Australia and Author of Your Time is Now: Dream again live again. Thank you for showing young men the vision of what they can be, for teaching them how to be honourable men, and for living it out in your own life. I am proud to associate myself with you and this book. Jeremy Rolleston, Two-time Olympian and author of A Life that Counts Over the last few decades the journey from boyhood to manhood has been a long, arduous one for many young men. For too long, there has been no map for boys to follow, and little information for dads to help their sons. That’s all changed. Glen Gerreyn in this wonderful book, Men of Honour, has artfully charted the course from boyhood into manhood in a practical, no-nonsense way. He writes about the stuff that boys want to talk about! But best of all, he brings dads along for the ride too. A must-read book for any young man, wherever he is on the road to manhood, and any dad who wants to walk beside him along the way. Michael Grose, speaker, director of Parentingideas.com.au and author of Thriving – raising Exceptional kids with confidence, character and resilience. In a world where the pornification and sexualisation of women is rampant and we are in the midst of instant gratification in every aspect of our lives, Glen Gerreyn is bringing hope, values, principles, respect and honour back to our generation of young men living in Australia. David Citer, Manager of Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS) and Chair of the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai Youth Network.
