An Anthology of Poems, Verses, and Songs
by Solace Zeta and Rob Acker MA

Overview

Solace Zeta's anthology of poems, free verse, songs, and more, draws its title from his roughly two and half years of studying, traveling, working, and living in China. Tackling both lighthearted subjects like food and hospitality, as well as dark and melancholy subjects like death and self-doubt, he successfully navigates the corridors of love and despair while walking the tightrope between detached observation and present consciousness. His journeys and meditations are worthy of reflection, and the plethora of added photographs help us more deeply relate to its contents and messages. The new 5th anniversary edition includes 200 pages, and more than 65 photographs. At times profoundly deep, heartfelt, cerebral, intricate, rule and genre-bending, versatile, and overall highly satisfying.

Description

A quality, hardcover book filled with unique and bold experiments in finely-crafted poetry and verse, complimented by more than 65 new full-color photographs, and complete with a new introduction, this 5th anniversary special edition deserves a privileged spot on your bookshelf, coffee table, or in the hands of an avid reader with a profound appreciation for the value excellent books and quality words can exhibit. Through a profound transitional experience, Solace Zeta collects his writings during much of his three years of living and working in China, mainly during 2014-2016. His experiences witnessing and living under a completely different culture and lifestyle gives the impetus for his writings, and even songs crafted and created during his time there, to sparkle in special and vivid ways. Additionally, he also draws inspiration and at times catharsis from his experiences with love, marriage, death, friendship, despair, depression, self-loathing and self-doubt, redemption, and the nature of humanity as well as nature itself. Confronting the death of his parents, the love of his future wife, behind the backdrops of a new life on the opposite side of the planet in a foreign country, the author pulls out his heartstrings whilst managing to embrace periods of serenity, reflection, cold-blooded self-assessment, and to indulge in the human experience of travel, trials and tribulations, and, most especially, growth in life. Showcasing more than 135 original works across nine different stylistic and categorical themes, Solace Zeta's first anthology delivers poetry in spades, and excellence in abundance. Come on an incredible journey in China through these powerful meditations, writings, and musings. Also available in eBook format.
