Overview
The matter of marriage and sex has not been explored enough in Christian circles as a matter of fact, even with the dawn of information technology not much is said from the pulpits. Marriages are falling apart. The rate of divorce is increasing rapidly even in the institution called church. Marriage not just sex: a guide to a lasting relationship addresses aspects that are normally overlooked or slighted when working at achieving a great marriage. These include the meaning of love, the reason for marriage, the art of forgiveness, how to arouse your spouse and good communication. There is no perfect marriage but there are sound marriage principles that if followed will make for a successful and lasting relationship.
Description
Having a successful marriage is every couples' dream. In the last few years, I took the opportunity to examine the subject of marriage and recognized that most marriage relationships are being lived on paper; matrimonial vows are forgotten and spouses are separated while living in the same house and sleeping in the same bed too. We can have healthy successful marriages. It will take commitment, consistency, compassion, clear communication, control of self, confidence and complete love. Marriage not just sex: A guide to a lasting relationship explores marriage below the surface and outlines some pitfalls that marriage regularly encounters. Husband, you know something is wrong when your wife is dressing up more than she normally would. Wife, you know something is wrong when all your husband wants to do when he gets home is sleep, no time for intimacy. This does not mean the end of your marriage. A marriage fails when spouses do not remain true to their commitment. But how do you deal with that? Talk. Unless your spouse can read your mind you will never know what's really going on on the inside. You have to trust that your spouse will be open and honest and you have to be prepared for the response. If it is a matter of sexual unfulfillment try something new. Arouse your spouse in unconventional but safe ways. Explore new sex positions that hopefully will give you ultimate pleasure. Be mindful not to indulge in immoral activities. If it is a matter of bad communication determine if there is a miscommunication or mixed communication. While there is no perfect marriage there are sound marriage principles that if followed will result in a great marriage experience. Marriage is hard work, but it is doable.
