Overview

The author Extremity is on a poetic journey to gain insight and understanding of self and others. Hopefully, it will provoke discussions on topics of pleasure and pain.

Description

"Making Change With My Two Cents" is a collection of personal poems and musings that author Extremity needed to express to the world in some way (hence, "my two cents"). The poems encompass life's pleasures, whether healthy or sick, as well as pain and blessings. The life experiences that have inspired the author continue to make her a better poet.

About the author
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Extremity resided in Georgia for over 20 years but recently relocated to Arizona. First given the name at Adelphi University, Extremity has embraced the concept to mean "going to the extreme," whether in striving for excellence, creating a forum for others to express themselves artistically, or giving back to the community. Extremity continuously looks for opportunities to be a resource and connect people through the arts, education, or community outreach. She lives by the motto that "in order for us to move forward, we must give back." She has self-published a book of poetry entitled "Different Perspectives," and writes personalized poetry for weddings, anniversaries, and dedications.
