Description
Welcome to Maddie's world! Through her love of painting and beautiful colors, Maddie invites you and your child into a kind, thoughtful discussion on skin tone that highlights the refreshing reality that we are all people of color who deserve inclusion, connection, and respect. This book aims to drop a "ripple effect" stone into the consciousness of humanity that will facilitate kind, thoughtful discussions regarding respect, equality, and inclusion.
About the author
Amber was inspired to write "Maddie's Colors" by engaging in and listening to conversations regarding race and equality over the years. Amber has spent time on medical teams caring for orphans in India and Tanzania as well as spending time at an orphanage in Honduras. She also serves on the board for TOUCO, which is a non-profit orphanage in Tanzania. Amber believes that each of us has the power to influence others for good and that the "ripple effect" of kindness causes a gentle, far-reaching impact.
