Description

After earning her nursing degree, Peg Starling moves from her small town in Kentucky to a sprawling city in Ohio. Alone and lonely, Peg can hardly contain her excitement—and her nerves—when a coworker invites her to a party. What she doesn't know is that by attending the party, she is placing her fate in the hands of two superior beings—one a malevolent demigod bent on destroying humankind and reclaiming the earth, the other a kind-hearted supernatural being striving to thwart the destruction.
