About the author
Patricia Walters left home at age 17, well-educated in music and singing. She spent her career in the 1950s and 60s as a jazz singer in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. She earned a Bachelor of Theater Arts from UCLA in 1969. A divorce brought her to Florida, where she obtained a master's degree in psychology in 1979. She spent the next 40 years as a psychotherapist in private practice. During all of this time, she wrote poetry.
