Lucky 18 is the story of a high school senior, ages seventeen through nineteen, who struggles to find his way as a 'nurd' in an increasingly complex world. With a lightness and sensitivity towards today's youth, Lucky 18 shows how developing a keen interest as a youth, such as anatomy, can lead to fulfillment as a young man. Read it!

Meet Harold Buttenfield and his best buddy Marty Laurier. These two make up quite the two-some even though Marty is 'cool' (and from a broken home) and his buddy is perpetually the 'nurd' who struggles to fit in. Read how Harold serves as an usher at LaComm Community Theater, tries to ask out a ghost, and wonders at the world playing a simple game of catch as a developing college freshman. Marty is always there to support him with his status as a 'cool dude in school,' but it's only by respecting family and applying oneself that Harold truly grows.

Author Dana Blake is a quiet man in his mid forties who lives with family in beautiful Wilton, New Hampshire. He enjoys music, camping and fantasy baseball. He has dreamed of becoming a published author since middle school. He works in residential construction.
