About the author
Carol Cherry is the granddaughter of a tenant farmer from Greensberg, Louisiana. I grew up loving and admiring the main characters and like many of my relatives have migrated north to Illinois, where I hold dear the teachings of my southern family and live by their principles of love, tenansity, and hard work.
