Audrey Wright felt that her life was interesting enough, what with the constant movement. As her family settles down in their most recent address--a mediocre city in Wisconsin, it’s soon plain to her that life thinks otherwise. After a tour of her new school on the last day of classes, she meets several people that reveal the fact that not everything has been as she thought. There are worlds out there besides the one that she currently lives in, specifically one in particular: her birthplace. With this new information comes plenty of questions, and it’s up to her and her new acquaintances to piece together the puzzle of her life and stay out of the hands of her newfound adversary.
Ryan Saunders left Dochia for this world to get away from the impending war with Vomoria and the memories that lingered at home. It seems that both have caught up with him. Instead of launching his summer with crazy sessions of watching television all night, he’s stuck with carting Audrey to an establishment that will keep her safe from the king of Vomoria. Aside from being the king of the disputant neighboring territory, Samael is the creator of a new race called Nightmaires. Ryan is part of an opposing winged species, called an Alesky. The two territories have been under discord for almost forty years, but recent events could lead to either victory--or disaster.
