Description

LORD Reviewed by Lex Allen for Readers' Favorite

Lord by Dimitrios Molfetas is a spine-chilling portrait of a vigilante who calls himself Traveler. Lord is the story of a professor of physics, his fiancée Kyra, an attractive Los Angeles Police Department cop recently promoted to detective grade, and a billionaire head of a mafia crime family. The plot brings these disparate lead characters and a host of minor players together for a page-turning, police versus serial killer thriller that contains more twists and surprising turns than any fan of this genre could ask for.

My first vigilante novel was well worth the decision to read a book in a category that I had shied away from in the past. As a stickler for a sense of reality in all facets of the story-telling process, I was pleasantly surprised by the author’s skill in character development and realistic action scenes. Dimitrios Molfetas has done significant research on police procedures and weapons capabilities. In the process, he has created an amazing story that is fast-paced and full of twists and turns that create a sense of suspense so that it became near impossible to put the book down. I began expecting nothing more than a story about a serial killer and police efforts to capture him or her, and that’s what I got. What I didn’t expect, but received in massive doses, was a serial killer whose victims were themselves serial killers, young girl traffickers, and terrorists. I also did not expect quantum physics to play a role in the unexpected conclusion. Lord is a phenomenal page-turning thriller.

About the author

As a retired aviation ground engineer and building construction entrepreneur, I have led a life full of diverse experiences. Born and educated in Athens, Greece, I ventured to Central Africa for a decade before returning to Europe. Eventually, I made my way to New South Wales, Australia, where my family and I spent 32 years. Now, we reside in Rosewell, Midlothian, Scotland.

From a young age, I recognized the significance of character development in storytelling. Dynamic characters breathe life into a narrative, allowing readers to experience the story through their eyes. The most intriguing aspect of character development, for me, is how these characters often evolve independently, as if they are real people. Despite being the writer, I feel like a silent observer, watching the story unfold before me.
