About the author
Jonanthan Smulian is a writer and illustrator. He was born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and attended university in Cape Town where he graduated with a degree in Architecture. He moved to England where he studied at the University of London & Liverpool and earned a degree in Urban Planning. His career as an urban planner provided him the opportunity to live in 12 different cities around the world and to work in 37 different countries. He has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and for the United Nations Development Program. In recognition of his career excellence, he was elected by his peers to be a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute in Great Britian. Additionally, he has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and universities in both Columbia and Venezuela. He now resides in Houston, Texas. In this autobiographical narrative, Jonathan shares many of his experiences and adventures from his life. His dynamic illustrations help bring to life the setting for many of the stories. Jonathan has written and published four other books: The LONG and SHORT of It, Out and About, For Two Best Friends and Other Critters, and Youtopia by the Sea.
