Description

HOW CAN WE PREPARE FOR A FUTURE THAT WE CANNOT PREDICT, LET ALONE CONTROL?

HOW DO WE LEAD OUR ORGANIZATIONS IN A REAL-TIME WORLD?

Living in a Real-Time World explores six conversational capabilities that we can cultivate to navigate uncertainty and learn what we need to know when we need to know it. More art than science, these innate capabilities tune the way we experience our circumstances, our relationships, our past, our present, and our future. A worthwhile read for anyone interested in understanding what is happening today, preparing for an uncertain future, and living in a positive relationship with change.

About the author

Jim Selman has worked for over 30 years as a change management consultant to major corporations. In the 1980s, he co-founded Transformational Technologies, an operating network of over 70 consulting organizations in the United States and Europe, and was the first to distinguish coaching as an alternative to traditional control-oriented management. A committed student and teacher in the field of transformation, Jim has become a recognized thought leader in designing organizational cultures and teaching transformational leadership. His current company, Paracomm Partners International, has successfully led large-scale transformation initiatives for organizations in Europe, Russia, and the Americas. Jim is also founder of The Eldering Institute, an organization committed to the proposition that aging can be a conversation for possibility rather than a story of inevitable decline and loss. He currently lives in southern California with his wife Darlene.
