About the author
Malia Zimmerman is a children's book author, songwriter, and video editor. Born and raised in Kailua on Oahu, Malia is an avid Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddler, Dragon Boat paddler, and surfer. She has worked as a TV producer and host for her inspirational show on Hawaii's CBS affiliate, KGMB, called "You've Got the Power". A song she composed with David Kauahikaua entitled "The Littlest Angel" by Sandalphon is the musical version of this children's book. She is the proud mom of one son, Michael, and the puppy parent to Liko and Kai, all who appear in this book.
