About the author
Dr. Susan Murphy's career combines the three worlds of corporate leadership, academia, and international management consulting. She has been an executive at two Fortune 500 Corporations and served on the graduate faculty at both the University of San Francisco and Vanderbilt University. Susan has performed management consulting with 300 businesses and organizations, including NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, Stanford University Medical School, SAP, and U.S. Air Force. Her education includes an M.B.A., a master's degree in O.D., and Ph.D.
Susan is a sought-after speaker, business consultant, coach, and best-selling author who is known for her Wit and Wisdom. "LifeQ: How To Make Your Life Your Most Important Business" is her 11th book. She co-authored "In the Company of Women" with Dr. Pat Heim. Good Morning, America, the B.B.C., Forbes, and Time Magazine have featured "In the Company of Women", and Harvard Business School named it Book of the Month. Susan's leadership book, "Maximizing Performance Management, Leading Your Team to Success", is part of the curriculum at Harvard University, and several other academic organizations. In 2004, Vanderbilt University honored Susan with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
