Four lives - Bill Brown, Nett Brown, Sharon Brown and Bill Norton – share nine academic degrees among us with each a proud TCU Horned Frog! Bill and Nett Brown, having married while TCU students, produced Sharon, a tadpole who later became another Horned Frog. Bill Norton was at TCU the same time as were Bill and Nett Brown, with their losing touch over the years, only to be reunited by chance in 2011. Was it chance, a coincidence or a God-wink? William D. Brown holds an undergraduate degree from Lynchburg College, graduate degrees from TCU and earned his doctorate at Florida State University. A college and university professor, he also spent many years as a Clinical Psychologist in Washington, DC. Bill is a co-founder along with Nett of TRT, Inc. (an acronym for “the right thing”), a continuing education company. Nett L. Brown earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University. She also did graduate work in business administration at Florida State University. A Senior Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, she currently serves as President and CEO of TRT, Inc., a position she has held for nearly a quarter century. Sharon L. Brown also holds her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University. In addition, she is the founder of Birthday Blessing, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization, formed to give birthday presents to children who have never received gifts on their special day. In addition, she serves as Vice-President of Marketing for TRT, Inc. William K. Norton was awarded his undergraduate degree at Phillips University, earned graduate degrees from TCU and received his doctorate from Florida State University. His academic positions include faculty appointments at Texas Tech University. He served as a community health center psychologist and was in private practice for many years. Currently Bill serves as a consultant and special advisor to TRT, Inc.
