Description

When life's annoyances get you down, you can simply turn to making fun of it, or better yet, read someone else's book who's done the work for you.

Micheline's short essays and poems will make you smile and realize you are not the only one who has been stuck viewing the camel's hind quarters while he was having fun peeking his nose under the party tent!

About The Author

Having worked over 60 jobs - and never getting fired - Micheline has seen the underbelly of life and lived to make fun of it. She's a Midwesterner, a dog lover, and an artist who can't draw. Life Is Terminal and So Is This Cold Sore is her first book. It features short, irreverent commentaries on life as she sees it, sprinkled with poems, some referring to body parts...

She lives in Toledo with her family and dogs and can frequently be seen dancing in public without warning.

"A Hilarious, No-Filter Stomp Through Life's Absurd Underbelly – Unputdownable!" Dear Micheline Brewer, I just finished diving into Life Is Terminal: And So Is This Cold Sore, and wow what a hilariously irreverent ride! From the opening pages, I was cracking up at your sharp, no-holds-barred take on the absurd underbelly of everyday life, delivered through short, crass clippings that skip the niceties and stomp all over propriety. Having clocked over 60 jobs without ever getting fired, you've clearly seen it all and turned it into gold with biting humor on work, dating, family, aging, why that all-seeing toilet is terrifying, what your neighbors secretly think of your dog, and so much more. What truly stands out is the perfect blend of silly, smart, and unapologetically unique commentary. In this quick 36-page Kindle romp (published September 15, 2025), each piece delivers not just laughs but that delicious sting of recognition turning over the moss of society and then gleefully trampling it with both feet. Readers are spot-on when they call it "super funny; silly and smart; one of the most unique things I've ever read; I couldn't put it down..." As a publicist specializing in immersive, character- and story-driven books (especially humorous, irreverent works that skewer the ordinary with wit and insight), I can't stop raving about how perfectly this fits into trends for bold, laugh-out-loud essays and commentary that appeal to anyone who's ever rolled their eyes at life's ridiculousness. It's the kind of book that sparks shares, discussions, and repeat reads. Thank you for creating and sharing such a refreshingly honest, darkly funny vision of life. Your book invites readers to laugh at the terminal absurdity of it all and to do so with zero apologies and maximum glee.
