It explores various topics of interest such as reality television, real life stories and stories stories based on real life situations and the Bible. It includes simple poetry with interesting characters and characterizations. As such, the poems are satirical, inspirational, whimsical and funny. Crunchibles: includes a look at current events and topics of interest such as television and its evolution to reality programming; the Bible story of the queens Vashti and Esther; a short history of reggae music; and the recent Sandy storm that took place in New York. Reality Bites: addresses topics such as death; miracles; freedom; and hope in the midst of disasters we face. Introspection: provides an interesting perspective of a Jamaica woman who migrates to America. Life Hurts but I Rise: tackles the hard issues of life that are inevitable and gives inspiration. Only Human: speaks of the strengths and weaknesses of human beings and promotes courage, faith and trust in God..
About the author
Sharon Falloon is the youngest of three children and was born in Jamaica, West Indies. In July 1979, Sharon migrated to New York, where she worked for twenty-five years in corporate America. In early 2010, she composed her first novel, Honor Thy Mother, A Soldier's Story, which is now available in eBook format and in 2012 she composed this first collection of poetry, and the second book in the Honor Thy Mother series, Three Kindred Souls. All of her work is inspired by her deep Christian faith, which is reflected in her stories and poetry but which does not put limitations on her depiction of reality as we function in a troubled world. Sharon resides on Long Island with her family.
