title and think, oh this going to be a gloomy morbid book,
they would be way off base. Life’s Lessons in the Storm is
an honest account of some painful experiences that will
definitely hit home, and hopefully give some insight to
how God can provide peace in the midst of these storms.
You will no doubt laugh and cry. It has been our desire
from the beginning to write books that are easy for men
and boys to read. However, women find the books to be
very enlightening as well. We are constantly reassured that
this direction is so needed and well received. We write
books in our own language. I hope you can hear us speak
directly to you when you read these stories. One story in
this book about the most difficult storm that Ocie has ever
been through, the loss of her mother. This is a very deep
and painful journey. Every day she is reminded through
pictures, memories even in our own children, that her
mother is gone. As a husband I have never felt more helpless
and deficient in the area of consoling her. Please read
this book with vulnerability and honesty with yourself.
