Overview
If you could write a letter through time to your younger self, what would you say?
What advice would you want to share?
What kind of encouragement would you give to yourself?
These became the central questions as Paul, Nathan, and Justin wrote this book. To be clear, none of these men are featured on the Forbes 500 list, own a yacht, or run hedge funds. What they all share is a profound enthusiasm for life and a desire to help others. They have each tried a multitude of different approaches to living whole-hearted, fulfilling lives.
From a desire to help others, a value of self-acceptance, and also out of an abundance of time that 2020 provided, they decided to write down some of the lessons they learned over the years. They hope you find reading the lessons as useful, and far more gentle than they did from living them.
Description

Paul, Nate, and Justin are professionals who have achieved success through little more than hard work, perseverance, and getting some good advice along the way. Their path to success was far from a smooth ride, and all of them have learned some painful but essential lessons. They would like to share some of these lessons as well a few mistakes they made through the telling of humorous, sometimes tragic, but always honest stories. The topics covered in this book include several universal rites of passage such as struggling, failure, finding purpose, and generating fulfillment. Each chapter in this book is succinct and reads like a "combat manual" for mindful living. Ideal for any young professional or new college graduate, the advice contained in this book is timeless, encouraging, and applicable to life. Sometimes sarcastic and sometimes serious, the authors never stray from the central theme: don't take yourself too seriously.

Justin Robert Miller was born in Maywood, Illinois in 1985. He currently teaches anatomy and physiology classes for health professionals at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, and a one-month beer brewing class during J-terms.  He is a research collaborator with Paul and has co-authored 12 peer-reviewed scientific articles studying respiratory neurophysiology, brain plasticity, opiate effects on breathing, and behavioral inhibition. Justin and his wife Therese have two daughters, Evelyn and Fiona, who are always providing inspiration for his writing.  He takes great pride in being a dad and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.

Dr. Nathan Paul Gerowitz, a family chiropractor, heeds a deep calling to help people unconditionally love themselves and participate in life. He was born in the suburbs of Chicago. While attending Carthage College he met Paul and Justin. Later, whilst completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, he began serving as a facilitator for MLS Adjusting Seminars. He continues that service today, teaching students and doctors to serve with integrity, ease, and authenticity.

After briefly serving in California, Nathan returned to his hometown and founded Innate Life Chiropractic. His focus is on helping families to heal, grow, and thrive through vitalistic chiropractic care.
