Overview
A novel covering the 'lost' years of Leonardo da Vinci at the end of his life, when he lived in France.
Description
A novel covering the 'lost' years of Leonardo da Vinci when he lived in France at the end of his life. The story is based within the factual background of the patronage of Francois I, when he invited Leonardo to live in France, at Amboise, where the Court was based. Leonardo looks back on his life and reflects on his successes and failures, whilst events at Court move swiftly and dangerously around him.
About the author
Iain Wodehouse-Easton had a creative background in major international advertising agencies, before taking an interest in the life of Leonardo da Vinci. Through extensive research he found the last three years of this genius's life was in France, and poorly recorded in detail. He has visited all the places Leonardo lived throughout his life and sought to understand the inner feelings of the man at the end, when he reflects on his successes and failures.
