Born and raised in Northern California, sawhney utilizes the outside world around her as a mirror to reflect on her inside world. sawhney searches for peace within herself as she stumbles through gardens, meanders under redwood forests and sails across oceans. Beneath both sunny skies and dark days, she searches for answers. The natural landscape of her book is the setting where she considers what she knows, what she longs for, and, ultimately, what she needs for herself.
