About the author

David Alfred Peter is the son of Raymond & Mary (Reinhart) Peter, the grandson of Alfred Peter & Rosa B (Lemaire) (Peter) Solbrig, the great-grandson of Alexis & Pauline (Rogier) Lemaire, and the great-great-grandson of Francis Xavier & Albertine Catherine (Martin) Lemaire. He grew up in northwest Ohio, near his mother's family, but his father's family was from Leopold, Indiana. Summer trips to Leopold to visit aunts, uncles, and to play with cousins, were a memorable part of his childhood. Visiting Grandma in Leopold, and talks with Grandpa reinforced the Peter & Lemaire family connection for Dave. The author and his spouse, Jane (Lambright) Peter, raised four children in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
