Overview
In 1983 President Reagan announced his Strategic Defense Initiative which the press quickly renamed 'Star Wars'. It was meant to be the definitive solution in the protection of the United States at a time of tension and unease between the US and the USSR. However, after ten years of testing and billions of dollars of funding, the project was finally abandoned in favour of more conventional weaponry by President Clinton. After 25 years circling the Earth, dormant and cold. One of the 'Star Wars' satellites christened 'Alexis' is awoken, after a collision in our overcrowded orbit. She returns to her outdated task of defending the US against its cold war enemy. Knowledge of the satellite is quickly covered up by Senator Brasen, fearful it will affect his promotion to secratery in the new government. He hires mercenary Doug Weller to bring the satellite down. Amidst a web of lies, deceit between the government and military grows, as Doug's repeated attempts to destroy Alexis fail, and the measures taken rapidly escalate. His final solution, Resurrect the Space Shuttle Discovery, to use as a modern day trojan horse five years after her retirement. Discovery must intercept Alexis in orbit before the secret comes out and destroys the Senator's career and President Reagan's Legacy.

About the author
Peter Donovan was born in the beautiful and historic City of Bath, England in 1974. After moving around the United Kingdom, he finally emigrated to Melbourne, Australia in 2005 where he now lives with his wife Joanne and his two British Blue cats, Cobalt and Sapphire. Peter has worked as an Aircraft Engineer and a Power Station Operator. He has always been interested in science, both fact and fiction. From an early age he remembers pulling things to pieces and trying to improve them driving his mother and father to distraction; only later in life learning how things went back together again! Peter's wife of eleven years, has listened to many weird and wonderful ideas from Peter that he thought would make a good story. Eventually her comment, "For Christ's sake stop talking about it and write it!" gave Peter the nudge he needed to actualize his thoughts. Not knowing where to start, Peter embraced the challenge:"Even writing a short biography at thirty-five isn't easy, when you've just started living and there is so much of this world and others still to see." 2012 Nibiru Rising, was his first published book in paperback. Peter has since gone on to publish 2013 Nibiru's Shadow, also in paperback and has recently released 2012 and 2013 as ebooks and has just released Legacy as an ebook. He is currently working on New Year, his forth novel, which he hopes to release late 2012.
