About the author
Music has always been a passion for author Jeff Strawman. Growing up, Jeff always had his ear to a hi-fi speaker, listening to vinyl records or the radio. In addition, he grew up with a piano in the house. At age eleven, he began playing the tuba, the lowest-pitched instrument in the brass family. After forming a band with a high school buddy (Jeff played bass guitar) and turned him on to Led Zeppelin via his mother’s vinyl records, a light came on. Led Zeppelin was THE greatest band in the world. As a tribute, Jeff launched the fansite Achilles Last Stand, in January 1996. Other Zeppelin sites often had posted incorrect data and one primary goal that Jeff had was to have the best, most-factual website with Led Zeppelin content on the internet. When not updating his websites or writing about Led Zeppelin, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter. Jeff resides in Des Moines, Iowa.
