Description

Learn By Heart is about living a life of renewal, deepening our faith, and experiencing spiritual growth along God's ordained paths for our lives – and not necessarily the paths of our choosing. The author prayed for strength and God provided difficulties requiring strength. The author asked for prosperity and God provided perspective to perceive His many blessings. The author prayed for companionship and God provided a job driving 10,000 people. It is a nonfiction, spiritual, Christian and autobiographical book that shares important biblical truths about God's desire for a personal relationship with us.

God has the infinite ability to love us each as favorites. He works centrally through our hearts to reveal Himself to us … gradually over time until we share eternity in His presence.

God asks us to come to Him like a child; in humility, receptively, and with an earnest desire to learn all we can about Him.

Doing so looks a lot like the process of learning math facts and the alphabet in school – starting small, working repetitively, until rote memorization develops in to a deeper, unaided understanding …a process we commonly refer to as 'learning by heart.'

About The Author

In the midst of a blossoming logistics and supply chain executive career, while stewarding the Marriage Ministry at his church with his wife of 20-years, and after completing his third Ironman triathlon at the age of 50, Warren Bishop was diagnosed with a brain tumor. While the intricate surgery was successful, recovery was slow. His company eliminated his position as a Vice President. His wife eliminated his role as a husband. His malfunctioning endocrine system eliminated his athletic hobbies and 175-pound frame. Within 18 months Warren was unemployed, divorced, homeless, and weighed more than 300 pounds. His standing as a combat Veteran provided no meaningful lifeline. One thing circumstance couldn't steal was his heart … for the Lord, for his children and ex-wife, for his friends and others, and as a curious albeit frustrated learner. Learn By Heart became an inspiration; a path forward for him, and others. Warren discovered God's Word is really no different than learning the alphabet, addition, subtraction, or multiplication. The goal is not rote memorization of a math fact or single Bible verse, but to attain a fluency marked by deeper understanding and integration of this knowledge in your life. Learn By Heart is a compilation of God's plan, promises and desire to change our hearts, a treasure map of how to achieve integration between God's intent and the execution of our lives, and the story of how He did so for the author.
