My work as an experienced Human Resources leader over the last 25+ years has taken me on assignments throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. During these years, I supported the successful establishment of new business units in emerging markets and enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resources and Operations in mature markets. In the time spent in these positions, I have been fortunate to work with leaders at all levels and from varying backgrounds. I am passionate about developing and teaching leadership and people skills and of how “people work with people. The one thing that I have come to realize is just how similar we all are. We generally have the same issues irrespective of social or cultural background. Apart from my own personal journey, I have seen people grow in their careers from arriving as junior entries and developing to senior management level. This book provides me with the ability to give back – to share my experiences and my thoughts on developing leadership, enhancing people skills and life experiences in general. My global travels have provided me with the opportunity to see much of life. This has also given me the opportunity to explore and develop another of my passions – photography. Through the lens of my camera, I am able to share my personal experiences and interpretation of the world as I see it. I love nature, and this is reflected in my photography. My photos capture not only the beauty of the subject but the magic and emotion of the moment too. The animals embody the raw power and strength of Africa, and my landscapes capture the magnificence of nature in all her forms. Photography is a source of great inspiration and emotion for me. Driven by the business and people, and with an approach on actions, conflict resolution and OD interventions, Anton has a track record of developing strong leaders and a strong internal bench of talent. Born in South Africa he holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
