Overview
A docu-fictional, darkly humorous account of life on the road with a touring band during the musically tumultuous and extremely elevated 1970's.
Description
Lake Shore Drive is a series of stories from rock n' roll experiences spanning over 30 years on the road. These are stories you couldn't make up. Bank robbers, midgets, insane practical jokes, multiple personalities, indecent exposure, transexuals, Hollywood, elephant turds, hookers and of course, DRUGS! Geographically he stories cover the entire country from Chicago to New York to Los Angeles to San Francisco and places in between. The three main characters are a composite (sometimes) as are the minor players. There are real people, clubs and places freely interspersed amongst them. Each story was refined by years of telling them onstage. There are cops, infamous clubs, robbers, bands, and of course Drugs. Names have been changed to protect everyone. It's an easy read and is lots of fun. It's rock n' roll in the seventies on steroids – and it's very funny. Each story has a lesson in the offing. The stories are totally insane yet a good time was had by all as will you. Check it out, it might give you some ideas for your weekend's festivities. Kids, don't try this at home. We were professionals.
