Did you ever have to sit on the bench for the whole game at your school? Well, this little girl had to sit, not only on the bench, but on the bench in the hot, Florida sun! She is #28 a.k.a Annie Candy, and when this happens to her, she decides to make the best of her day. After mowing an invitation into the school's soccer field, and we advise you not to do this, she marches along with her flip flops and her song to Ladybug Tea. Along the way, she is joined by The Marvelous Miss, The Kindhearted Kid, Double Trouble, Frizzy Izzy, Mr. Mellow, Charlie Charming, Tikvah and Messy Essie. When they finally arrive at tea, well, you will just have to read the story from the beginning to reach the ending. Wrapped in cheerful humor beautiful, illustrations, and rhythmic text, this story introduces us to a unique but relatable cast of characters.
