About The Author

Nanette Edwards has been writing poetry and short stories since she was a child. After graduating from college with a B.A. in Journalism, she applied her writing skills in a variety of editorial jobs. As a hobby, she is an avid gardener and has taken many horticulture classes and completed master gardener programs. She has combined these two areas of interest in her debut book, "Kudzu Kritters," in which she wrote a whimsical poem that also brings awareness to invasive plants. She explained that she got the idea for "Kudzu Kritters" while she and her husband were driving through her home state of Virginia and she noticed all the shapes that were created by the kudzu that grew along the highways. Inspired and excited, she composed the poem in the car on pieces of paper from the glovebox. Be sure to note the photo at the back of the book which she took on that drive that clearly shows the inspirational "kudzu elephant!"
