Alicia Knight is a young detective who is thrust into a dark conspiracy and corruption when she investigates a series of murders of Seattle high-class call girls. Desiree Michele is a writer who was born in Germany and then lived in numerous locations due to her father serving with the US military. She now lives in El Paso, Texas, with her soldier husband and their terrier, Lexi. On graduating from high school in 2001, Desiree immediately followed in her father's footsteps and joined the Army. After serving for five years, she left to become a certified personal trainer. Now, writing novels is her full-time occupation, along with doing some ghost writing on the side. Desiree has written several novels and two of these are self-published on Kindle. A Chess Game to Success uses chess analogies to help people achieve their goals, while Wicked Ascension is a fantasy romance novel. These writing skills have attracted some attention and Desiree has received three writing awards for her work, from the writing institute in Atlanta, Georgia. When she has some time to herself, Desiree enjoys drawing, painting, writing novels and short stories, playing video games and reading. She also loves to travel, having become used to it as a child, and devotes some of her time to volunteering and working for the Genesis Project, a charity which supports homeless women veterans. Desiree will continue to write in the future and looks forward to the day when she can have her novels published through a traditional route.
