Overview
Key’s ABC’s to Leadership will cover the 26 letters of the Alphabets by offering practical guidance, insight, and fundamental approaches that can be applied to any area of your life. Each chapter is a journey with a story and living examples that illustrates the core lessons of that letter. From there it offers an outline of the principles for that letter along with the actions a leader must take to live those principles. Then, the chapter finishes with a list of three key things that I wish I would have known before I became a leader – lessons that I learned the hard way turned into priceless guidance for others. To finish out each chapter, I ask some guiding questions and leave space for you to write notes and reflections.
Description
This book was born through my own journey into leadership. What started as a PowerPoint presentation for a leadership training that shared my personal views has grown into much, much more. Although this is not a personal memoir of the stories of my successes and failures as a professional and father, it does apply much of what I’ve learned through that journey as practical and profound leadership lessons. The principles that I share are the vital lessons and keys that any leader can use to be successful as a person and as a professional.
Certain leadership characteristics are specific to particular fields, but there are qualities and principles that apply across the board, such as good work ethics, passion, character, and a positive attitude. This book will offer practical guidance, insight, and approaches that can be applied to any area of your life. Each chapter is a journey in itself. With each letter of the alphabet, we’ll go through a story with living examples that illustrate the core lessons of that letter. From there, I offer an outline of the principles for that letter along with the actions a leader must take to live those principles. Then, the chapter finishes with a list of three key things that I wish I would have known before I became a leader – lessons that I learned the hard way turned into priceless guidance for others. To finish out each chapter, I ask some guiding questions and leave space for you to write out your notes and reflections.
