Description
"Journeys" is a labor of love from Journey Writers, Inc. a Connecticut-based non-profit group supporting writers and writing. The selections in this anthology offer a spicy gumbo of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, songs, and haiku that are sure to whet your appetite and satisfy your hunger for inspiring writing. Sprinkled throughout the works are tempting flavors of serious thought, humor and plain talk. The anthology is divided into several sections: Tracks 1 - 14: Home and Family focuses on essays and stories about growing up and navigating all that life brings. Tracks 15 - 20: The Personal is Political takes a look at how we affect and are affected by society, politics, and our communities. Tracks 21 - 26: The Journey Within includes introspective pieces from several viewpoints. Tracks 27 - 30: Into the Night considers a variety of complex issues that surround love and relationships. Tracks 31 - 54: Poetry, Songs and Haiku includes takes the reader on a fascinating journey to many destinations. All tracks are narrated by the authors with the exception of five pieces written by Earl W. Gardner. Earl passed away on August 18th, 2023 and we will miss his wisdom, creativity and insight. He was not only a wonderful writer, but a valued member of our Board of Directors. Earl's works are narrated by Journey Writers Artistic Director, Andre L. Keitt.
